Mentsh - a man. Often - a special man or person; one who can be respected.
Meshuga - crazy (noun).
Nudnik - nuisance, a bore, obnoxious person.
Oy - an exclamation used to denote disgust, pain, astonishment, or rapture.
Oy vey - Dear me! Expression of dismay or hurt.
Shikse - a bimbo. This is the kind of word grandmothers use to describe the blonde boy-toys that their teenage grandsons want to date. Generally insulting to a woman's mental abilities.
Shlemiel - a clumsy oaf. The sort of person who, when at a fancy restaurant, invariably spills his soup.
Shlemazel - an unlucky oaf. Unlucky person; one with perpetual bad luck; the sort of person who has soup spilled upon him by somebody else (see shlemiel.) Happy using both terms on Murphy shows that he has forgotten neither the baseball bat nor being stepped on.
Shlep - to pull, to drag.
Shtetl - a small town.
Toches - backside.
