Three Strands of Steele

I've read a lot of stories where Remington tells Laura the magic words, "I love you," and she tumbles directly into his arms, not to mention his bed. While I really don't want to diminish those stories, some of which I like a lot, sometimes I think the problem is deeper than Laura's need for verbal commitment and Remington's inability to provide one.
This is a collection of three stories, each exploring a slightly different scenario.
There is no immediate connection between the three except for the foreword. Still, I suggest that you read them in the order they are placed below.
And please, don't take the stories too seriously.
